About the Author

Hasste Windjammer, born in Liverpool in 1971, enjoyed adventurous summers travelling around the British Isles on his family’s sail boat.

After finishing an un-remarkable school career he en-rolled in the University of Life, illegally working on the sun scorched streets of the Canary Islands, playing cat and mouse with the local police, growing dread-locks and living a hedonistic surf dude lifestyle...

He followed a beautiful French speaking girl to the Swiss Alps and then out to the Caribbean before being spectacularly dumped for a local salsa dancing bar man.

Licking his wounds he escaped into the Amazon jungle of Venezuela where he met a tiny Shaman of the Yano Mani Indians and embarked on a hallucinogenic search for his spirit animal.

In Thailand and Malaysia he captained a sailing yacht, running tourist charters out of the Phi Phi Islands, and these days he lives aboard his own yacht exploring the Atlantic in search of the perfect surfing wave.
